What an EICR report tells you
An electrical installation condition report checks the safety and condition of your fixed wiring, circuits, sockets, switches and consumer unit. We carry out EICR reports for homeowners, landlords, businesses, buyers, sellers and property managers who need a clear picture of an installation before problems develop. Early faults can stay hidden for years, especially in older properties or buildings with added circuits and altered layouts.
That matters when you're renting out a home, buying a premises, selling a property or trying to keep staff and tenants safe. We explain the findings in plain terms, so you know what needs attention now and what you should monitor. If the report points to an ageing board, our service for upgrading consumer units can put that right. Floma Building Services handles inspections with a straightforward approach that keeps the process calm and useful.

What we inspect and what the results mean
We inspect the overall condition of the electrical installation, including visible wiring, earthing, bonding, protective devices and signs of wear, damage or poor previous work. We also test circuits to check that the installation is performing as it should and that safety measures are working properly.
If the report identifies issues, we code the observations to show their seriousness, from dangerous defects needing urgent action to items recommended for improvement. An unsatisfactory result doesn't mean you have to stay stuck. We can talk you through the report, explain the next steps, and carry out remedial electrical work where needed to help bring the installation up to standard.
